Columbus, OH — David Milton Goatley, 91, of Springfield, Ky., died March 6, 2010 in Bardstown.

He was an elder in the Springfield Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Springfield Masonic Lodge #50 F&AM.

Mr. Goatley and his brother, Chester, were active in the Standardbred business for over 25 years and he was inducted into the Kentucky Harness Horsemen’s Association Hall of Fame in 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Sara McClure Hagan; son, David Mason (Allie); daughters, Sally Mattingly and Kathy (Eddy) Barber; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
