by Greg Blanchard for WEG

Toronto, ON — Margarita Mary and Queen Creek were both repeat winners in the second leg of the Lifetime Dream Trotting Series for 4-year-old mares on Sunday afternoon at Woodbine Racetrack.

Margarita Mary stamped herself as the one to beat in the final with another decisive victory for trainer-driver Rick Zeron in the opening C$20,000 division. The daughter of Andover Hall – Pacific Photo went gate-to-wire from post two and easily turned back Kandor Hanover with Another Vixen finishing third in the 1:56.4 mile.

It was the 10th career victory for the mare who won 8 times last season while banking $131,127 for owners Alton Lynch Jr. of Delaware and Steve Elliott of Florida. The prohibitive favorite returned a paltry $2.10 for the win.

In the second split, Queen Creek also won in coast-to-coast fashion for driver Mark MacDonald in 1:58. The daughter of Elk Creek – Darts Queen held off a rallying Keep The Spirit with La Marchesa landing the show spot.

It was also the 10th career win for Queen Creek for owner Sandra Beback of Depew, New York. She kicked back $12.10 to her backers.

The C$60,000 Lifetime Dream Series final goes postward next Sunday afternoon from Woodbine.
