Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs Casino employees, Tioga Downs, and Chairman Jeff Gural finished up their Tioga United Way Campaign fund this past week.

Employees of Tioga Downs are making weekly contributions out of their paychecks to the Tioga United Way which Tioga Downs will match. Jeff Gural, Chairman of American Racing and Entertainment personally donated $5,000 to the United Way Fund, pushing the total contribution to more than $20,000.

Tioga Downs employees, along with Gural and Tioga Downs, stepped up to help the Tioga United Way which was anticipating a major campaign shortfall due to the struggling local economy.

“Everyone that works at Tioga Downs is very enthusiastic about donating to the United Way, as this money will be put to good use in 2010 benefiting many residents of Tioga County. Our Chairman, Jeff Gural, loves working with the local charities in the area to make sure that Tioga Downs is giving back to its local community,” said Jason Settlemoir, VP of Racing and Simulcast.

Fred Trzcinski, Tioga United Way executive director, expressed his gratitude for the generosity and support shown at this very critical time.
