Meadows Lands, PA — The Meadows Standardbred Owners Association and The Meadows Racetrack and Casino are teaming for a special event to raise money for the Lebanon Horsemen’s Relief Fund, to benefit the victims of the December 2 fire at the harness track in Lebanon, Ohio.

Two trainers and forty-two Standardbreds perished in the Lebanon Raceway fire.

“The entire industry is coming together to help our fellow horsemen in Ohio,” said Richard Gillock, MSOA President. “Of course, here at The Meadows, we know all too well what it’s like for this to happen, since some of our own trainers lost horses years ago. We want to do whatever we can to help.”

On Friday night, December 11, the MSOA and track management will donate their commissions from the money wagered on the evening’s fifth race. Additionally, the MSOA is collecting donations from horsemen, and the public is invited to join in and help as well.

To make a donation, contact the MSOA office at 724-228-3644, or via e-mail at msoa@themsoa.com.
