Devil’s Ivy, Perfect Swing win Dover co-features

Dover, DE — Devil’s Ivy and Perfect Swing won the Thursday co-featured paces at Dover Downs.

Devil’s Ivy was a 1:54.1 winner on Thursday for Ron Pierce.

Driver Ron Pierce piloted Arty Foster’s Devil’s Ivy to his fifth win of the year, a 1:54.1 decision in a $15,000 male pace. The Camluck-Idylwood Legend gelding has now won $117,304 this season. Roll Call (Ross Wolfenden) was second in front of Lavros Jasper N (Roger Plante).

Jon Roberts drive Bobby Glassmeyer’s Perfect Swing around horses at the top of the lane to corral Fountain Of Youth (Brad Hanners) in mid-stretch on the way to a 1:52.4 victory in a Delaware $20,000 claiming allowance. Bullion Bill A (Ron Pierce) rolled down the passing lane to finish second with Fountain Of Youth holding on for third.

Corey Callahan and Mike Cole had driving doubles while Wayne Givens had a training double.

Levine triples his pleasure at Saratoga

Saratoga Springs, NY — It was the biggest night of the year for trainer Gary Levine on Thursday night at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway as the local conditioner put three horses on the track on the evening and wound up getting his picture taken all three times as the ladies of his stable shined on the pleasant December evening at the Spa.

Pimlicos Treasure poses in the winner’s circle after a 2:02.3 win on Thursday.

Levine employed the services of three different drivers to record his training hat trick. Chris Long piloted Pimlicos Treasure to her third consecutive win on Thursday as the claiming trotter registered a 2:02.3 win. Red Eye Blue Chip drew away to a nearly five length victory with Brian Allen at the lines for Levine’s second win on the night while Bonafide Art went wire-to-wire for reinsman Dan Cappello, Jr. The filly recorded her first local win in just her second start out of the Levine stable.

Live harness racing continues on Friday night with a first post of 7:05 p.m.
