Campbellville, ON — As winter approaches, Mohawk Racetrack will be reducing its qualifying schedule from two days per week, to one.

Effective Thursday, November 26, and continuing until the end of March, qualifying races will be held on Thursdays at 10 a.m. In the event of a winter storm cancellation, Friday will serve as a back-up day.

This change is a result of discussions with the Central Ontario Standardbred Association, suggesting fewer horses qualify during the winter and one day a week will adequately service the demand. Numbers will be monitored and the two-day-a-week schedule resumed should there be a need before the end of March, 2010.
