Hidden Touch defeated Mysticole Maggie by a half-length in 1:55.

It was the first Open win at the Spa this season for the 6-year-old mare who has been ultra-consistent over the past couple of years. A winner of six races in 2008, Hidden Touch recorded her third win of the year on Sunday but the first in Open company.

After a successful stint out of town at Yonkers and Vernon Downs, Hidden Touch made her return to the Spa count on Sunday, setting a new seasonal mark with a 1:55 win on the chilly Sunday afternoon. The victory, which put the mare over the $300,000 mark in lifetime earnings, was the second consecutive Open win for driver Brian Cross, who piloted Roxie’s Big Guy to an Open Pace win on Saturday night at the Spa.

Hidden Touch is trained by John Mongeon.

Live racing resumes on Thursday night (Oct. 22) with a first post of 7:05 p.m.
