Windsong Espoir to Walnut Hall; will stand in Ontario

from Walnut Hall Ltd.

Lexington, KY — Windsong Espoir 2,1:55.3s ($763,230), the O’Brien champion 2-year-old trotting colt of 2007, has been syndicated by Walnut Hall Ltd. and will stand at Westwind Farm, Strathroy, Ontario for a fee of C$3,500. That announcement was made by Alan J. Leavitt, President of Walnut Hall Ltd.

Leavitt stated that over his many years in the breeding business, it became clear that the best indicator of a stallion’s real potential as a sire was his performance on the racetrack at two. As a 2-year-old, Windsong Espoir won $707,920 and nine straight stakes races by a total of 45-3/4 lengths, and he was the overwhelming choice for the O’Brien Award.

A son of leading sire Kadabra, out of Diamond Image, by Balanced Image, Windsong Espoir is a well-bred outcross for all of the other popular trotting bloodlines of the present day.

Leavitt added that a few shares in Windsong Espoir were still available, and further information about his syndication was available through Steve Katz at (859) 254-2776.
