Well Said to be syndicated and stand at Hanover Shoe Farms

from Hanover Shoe Farms

Hanover, PA — Jim Simpson, the president of Hanover Shoe Farms, and Sue Grange and Jeffrey Snyder, the owners of Well Said, have announced that they have reached an agreement to retire the $1.3 million North American Cup and $1 million Meadowlands Pace winner at the conclusion of the 2009 racing season.

Well Said p,2,1:51; 3,1:47.3 is a multiple Classics Winner who has thus far earned $2,218,438 and is a leading candidate for the 2009 Pacer of the Year. He is a son of harness racing’s leading pacing sire Western Hanover and out of the outstanding Artsplace mare Must See p,2,1:52 who earned $487,122 in her illustrious racing career.

In making the announcement, Simpson said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have Well Said come to Hanover. We view him as the logical replacement for his sire Western Hanover whose death was a great loss to Hanover and to the breed. The fact that he is out of an Artsplace mare combines the blood of the most dominant pacing stallions of this generation. We view him as an incredible breeding prospect. He has it all — great performance, an impeccable pedigree and he is a drop dead gorgeous colt.”

Well Said will next race in the Little Brown Jug at Delaware, Ohio on Sept. 24.
