Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs will be giving away Yannick Gingras bobbleheads on Sunday, August 2 (post time 1:30 p.m.), which is also the date of the third annual Drivers’ Championship.

Gingras was the co-champion, along with Brian Sears, of the inaugural event in 2007, but was the outright champion in 2008 by winning the final three events on the card.

“Yannick was chosen for the bobblehead giveaway this year in honor of his back-to-back championships in the event. With the Drivers’ Championship and the Yannick bobblehead giveaway on that Sunday afternoon we are expecting a big crowd,” said Jason Settlemoir, VP of Racing and Simulcast.

The giveaway will begin at 12:00 p.m. on the trackside apron and Yannick Gingras will be down there as well to sign some bobbleheads. The other eight drivers for the Drivers’ Championship will also be on hand for a driver meet and greet along with photos for an autograph session.

Bobbleheads will be given out to the public while supplies last.
