Wilkes-Barre, PA — The 13th race at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Wednesday night (May 27) certainly wasn’t unlucky for one fan who scored the largest trifecta payoff in the history of the racetrack.

The winning $2 ticket returned $12,656.80. The previous trifecta record was $9,340.40 in 2002.

The first three finishers across the finish line Wednesday were 4-8-1 with No. 4 Underestimated (David Blanton) winning the $5,000 claiming trot as a 22-1 longshot. No. 8 Swanderful, a 75-1 longshot, finished second in the 13th race while No. 1 Evander Hollyfield, at 5-1, was third.
