Toronto, ON — Parlay simply trounced his rivals on Thursday night (April 16) at Woodbine Racetrack to remain undefeated and give himself a chance at a sweep of this year’s Tie Silk Trotting Series for 3-year-olds.

Parlay scored in 1:56.2 in the $16,600 second leg of the Tie Silk Trotting Series.

The smooth-gaited son of Kadabra-Speedy Shasta was handled patiently in the early going by driver Jack Moiseyev who settled him away in third position through an opening panel of :27.4. Parlay was sent on the attack in the second quarter and took charge with an opening half in :58.1.

From that point, there was little doubt about the final outcome as Parlay easily kicked away from his rivals with a :58.1 back half to score in 1:56.2. Angeldrive got away in the pocket and followed in for second with Breewood Gringo rounding out the top three.

The victory was the fourth straight in the brief career of Parlay who is co-owned by trainer Ricky MacPhee along with Harris O’Brien and Robby Wiratmo. It was also a lifetime-best clocking for the gelding who returned $2.50 for the win.

Parlay will look to keep his undefeated streak in tact as the expected heavy favorite in next Thursday’s (April 23) C$49,000 Tie Silk Series Final at Woodbine.
