Marketing support for STARS stallions announced by USTA

by John Pawlak, the U.S. Trotting Association

Columbus, OH — The number of persons who visit the USTA’s online stallion guide, STARS, located at http://stars.ustrotting.com, can now be tracked, and early indications are that thousands of page views have been recorded in February — something good for stallion owners.

The USTA has installed software that will help stallion owners gauge the effectiveness of STARS, and initial figures indicate that they should be pleased. During the week of February 19 alone, nearly half of the stallions available on STARS drew well over 100 or more page views.

This traffic is, in turn, driving people — most owners of broodmares making breeding decisions — to farm Web sites, where people can make specific requests for bookings or more information.

Those who visit STARS see information about America’s leading stallions taken from the USTA’s PATHWAY data base, updated daily and presented without charge to those visitors, some of it in a form not even available to PATHWAY subscribers!

Stallion owners who wish to add STARS to their marketing plan, and take advantage of its newest traffic-measuring and -building features, should contact USTA Advertising Manager Deveau Zubrod: call (877) 800-USTA (8782), ext. 3217, or send an e-mail to deveau.zubrod@ustrotting.com.
