Celina, OH — The 2009 Mercer County (Ohio) Harness Horsemen’s Association’s annual colt awards banquet and fundraising auction is slated for Saturday, Feb. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at a new location, the Celina Eagles Lodge, St. Rte. 703, in Celina, Ohio.

The ticket price is $10 per person for a full banquet dinner. There will be a cash bar and 50-50 drawing.

Featured items to be auctioned are a set of Stealth racing wheels, a Superior Sulky jog cart, new harnesses, hopples, tack, remedies and home made baked goods.

Four 2009 stallion breedings to be auctioned off are Sand Shooter, Mattnamara’s Band, Master Lavec, and Kingsbridge.

All proceeds go towards the improvement of the racetrack and barns on the Mercer County Fairgrounds, which is a USTA “Blue Ribbon Fair” for 2009.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., no reservations required.
