Wilkes-Barre, PA — Vivid Photo, one of the top older trotters in North America and a past Hambletonian winner, made his third qualifying start of the 2008 season on Tuesday morning (March 25) at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

The 6-year-old trotter didn’t disappoint Roger Hammer, his owner/trainer/driver, in winning wire-to-wire from the six post. Vivid Photo stopped the timer in 1:55.4 with the splits being :29.1, :58.1 and 1:26.1.

Todd Schadel is also a co-owner of Vivid Photo, a winner of more than $2.8 million in purses.

“I’d like to get him one start before taking him to Dover Downs,” said Hammer. “If not, I’ll give him another qualifier here.”

Nine races were held on the second day of qualifying races at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in preparing for the 95-day meet that opens Tuesday afternoon (April 1) with a 2:00 p.m. post.

Armbro Chivalry, driven by Tony Coletta, and Onedin Commander N, reined by Mark Gingrich, turned in the fastest qualifying wins for pacers. Both horses won in 1:54.4.

More qualifying races are scheduled for Thursday morning (March 27).
