Jann Logue wanted to write a children’s book to introduce harness racing to children.

The result is Roll On Buddy, a motivational story about a Standardbred who may not be a world record holder, but always puts forth his best effort.

Logue’s book is featured in the current issue of Youth Beats.

She is also going to have tables set up at Balmoral Park this Saturday, October 6, in order to market the book.

Balmoral is having a “mascot night” on Saturday, where the Chicago sports team mascots will compete against each other by driving in a cart with a horseman. As part of their “family night” promotion, Balmoral will also have activities for the kids.

Logue last marketed her book at Balmoral Park on Super Night. Hall of Fame driver Dave Magee saw the book and very graciously agreed to autograph some copies.

The first 50 copies of the book sold on Saturday will be autographed by Dave Magee, so get your copy quickly!
