East Rutherford, NJ – Likeabatoutahell [$7.00, $3.40, $2.80] cruised to a 1:54.3 victory in the first of two $20,000 Horse & Groom Series on Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands.

It was a length back to the pocket-sitter, Two Weeks Notice [$4.40, $3.20], while Super Conway [$4.00] closed along the inside for third.

With Andy Miller at the lines, Likeabatoutahell recorded his first win of 2007 in wire-to-wire fashion. The Trond Smedshammer trainee hit the board in nine of 16 starts last season, including a sweep of the Charles Singer Memorial Series at the Meadowlands. He has earned $124,053 for breeder-owner Michael Andrew of Gorham, Maine.

Four Starz Robro benefited from a late miscue by the leader to win the second Horse & Groom division in 1:54.2 for driver Dan Dube and trainer Judith Welty.

The $80,000 Horse & Groom Final is next Sunday, March 11.
