from the Meadowlands Publicity Department

East Rutherford, NJ — Philos Hanover ($2.60, $2.20, $2.10) extended his unbeaten streak to four with a 2-1/4 length victory over Spirited Scoot ($3.40, $2.10) in a $12,500 non-winners of two conditioned pace, the second race on Friday night (Dec. 29) at the Meadowlands. It was another 3-1/4 lengths to Imperio ($2.10) in third.

Philos Hanover, driven by Brian Sears and trained by Richard “Nifty” Norman, paced the mile in 1:53 flat.

The 3-year-old son of Cam’s Card Shark was unraced at two and did not make his racing debut until November 22, 2006. He has now won four consecutive starts for earnings of $25,000.

A $200,000 Harrisburg yearling purchase by Jeffrey Snyder of New York City, Philos Hanover is eligible to three of the Winter Series on the Meadowlands stakes schedule for 2007 — the Clyde Hirt in January, the Senior Trendsetter in February and the Four Leaf Clover in March.
