Passionate Glide sails to victory in NJSS

East Rutherford, NJ – June 14, 2006 — Passionate Glide, the 2005 Two-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year, swung five-wide in the stretch and trotted home in 27.4 seconds to nip Klipspringer by a head in the third leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.

Driven by Ron Pierce, Passionate Glide set a mark of 1:54.4 in one of three $25,500 New Jersey Sire Stakes divisions for sophomore trotting fillies.

Driven by Ron Pierce, Passionate Glide set a mark of 1:54.4 in the evening’s sixth race, one of three $25,500 New Jersey Sire Stakes divisions for sophomore trotting fillies on the card. It was a length and a half to Armbro Déjà vu in third.

Trained by Jimmy Takter, Passionate Glide is now two-for-two in 2006. In her award-winning freshman season, she finished first or second in 10 of 11 starts and counted the Breeders Crown among her wins. Passionate Glide is owned by Brittany Farms of Versailles, Kentucky.

The top 10 money earners in the preliminary legs advance to the $175,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Championship on June 22 at the Meadowlands.
