Pompano Beach, Florida – February 25, 2006 – For the second straight year, He Wants It All ($2.80) got it all as the six-year-old stallion led from start to finish for driver Dave Magee in winning the $159,000 8th annual Isle of Capri Casinos Pacing Series Final Saturday at Pompano Park. He Wants It All held off rival Hop Sing (Wally Hennessey) to win by a neck in 1:51.1. Rob Roy Mattgregor (Wally Hennessey) and Wherethemoneywentn (Bruce Ranger) finished in a dead heat for third.

It was the third win in four starts this year for He Wants It All. The son of The Big Dog earned $79,500 for the victory and pushed his career earnings to $680,000 for owner Michael Polansky of Loudonville, NY and trainer Tom Harmer.

HE WANTS IT ALL (#4) holds off Hop Sing (#2) to win the $159,000 8th annual Isle of Capri Pacing Series Final by a neck in 1:51.1 Saturday at Pompano Park.

The 8th race feature saw Magee and He Wants It All shoot out to the early lead with Hop Sing right on his back to the opening quarter mile in :27.3. As they came to the half mile mark in :56.4, Hot Rum (George Napolitano, Jr.) came first-over with Nonuke (Richard Silverman) following the outside flow and Wherethemoneywentn third-over.

Racing down the backstretch Hot Rum inched his way towards the leaders as they hit the three-quarter mile mark in 1:23.3. Wherethemoneywentn popped three-wide for Bruce Ranger and looped the field and by the top of the stretch had nearly collared He Wants It All and boxed in Hop Sing down the stretch. By the time Hop Sing got clearance, He Wants It All was not going to get caught.

“He (He Wants It All) is such a tremendous athlete with uncommon natural ability.” Owner Michael Polansky said. “He has some major stakes engagements this year but I am about 95% sure that by this time next year he will be standing stud in Florida.”

“I was upset at his loss last week to Hop Sing.” Dave Magee said. “I knew if I could get him to the lead tonight that no one was going to catch him. I heard them coming around the last turn but I knew my horse would not get caught. He is so eager to race, so easy to control, I love driving him.”

“It’s a shame everyone can’t have one like this.” Said trainer Tom Harmer of He Wants It All.

The $82,600 final of the 5th annual Mack Lobell Trotting Series saw Hellava Hush ($2.40) and driver Tom Sells sweep three-wide in the backstretch to collar pacesetter Ultimate Sundance, then took the lead in mid stretch and held off a late charge by Justice Hall (C. Jason Dillander) and Dunkster (Kurt Sugg) to win by three-quarters of a lengths in 1:54.2.

HELLAVA HUSH (#4) and driver Tom Sells beat Justice Hall (#2) by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.2 to win the $82,600 5th annual Mack Lobell Trotting Series Saturday at Pompano Park. Hellava Hush is undefeated in four starts this year.

The $1 million career winner Hellava Hush, a six-year-old gelding by Lindy Lane, made is a clean sweep in the series and is undefeated in four starts this season for trainer Bill Gallagher and owner Joseph Chnapko of Livingston, NJ.

It was Ultimate Sundance and Bruce Ranger the first to show in the 6th race Mack Lobell Final. Justice Hall was able to keep the two-hole closed off from Muscle Boss Vita (Kevin Wallis) as they hit the opening quarter mile in :27.2.

Coming down the stretch the first time, Sell moved to the outside with Hellava Hush as they followed Muscle Boss Vita with Dunkster third-over to the half mile in :56.2. Then in the backstretch was when Sells and Hellava Hush swept three-wide and collared Ultimate Sundance at the three-quarter mile mark in 1:25.2.

Dunkster then moved into second place on the outside and Justice Hall found clearance to also mount a charge down the stretch but Sells and Hellava Hush held them all at bay for the victory.

“This was his toughest race yet.” Sells said. “I did not waste any time moving him out in the backstretch. I didn’t know how long Muscle Boss Vita would give us cover. But once he got to the lead he was comfortable and just trotted home.”

In the 3rd race $50,000 4th annual Red Bow Tie Invitational Pace for Florida-breds, Hearty Fellow ($3.60) and driver Wally Hennessey were able to lead from start to finish and barely held off a gusty challenge by Flight Of Glory and driver Dave Magee to win by a nose in 1:54.2. It was the second straight year that Hearty Fellow won the Red Bow Tie Pace. Paper Exchange (Bruce Ranger) was third.

Hearty Fellow, a six-year-old gelding by Hearty Welcome, posted his first win in six starts this year. He is trained by Marc Aubin and owned by the Amante Standardbred Stable of Delray Beach. Hearty Fellow cut soft fractions of :28.3, :59.1 and 1:27.2 and it took the photo finish camera to declare the winner.

“He (Hearty Fellow) drew the best post position and was the best horse in the race.” Said Wally Hennessey. “But coming down the stretch Magee’s horse was really closing and it was a lot tighter at the finish then I would have liked it to be.”

The evening started off with a special memorial service honoring longtime horseman, Dana Irving, who passed away February 7. A driverless horse and sulky were walked down the stretch followed by a parade of horsemen and women. Track Chaplin Reverend Kelly Blanton led the service.

Attendance for the night was 4,535 and total handle was $1.1 million.
