Saint John, NB — It’s been a few weeks since the Maritimes’ leading driver Gilles Barrieau has driven on his home track, but he was back with four winners on the Saturday (November 12) afternoon card at Exhibition Park Raceway.

Gilles scored a natural hat trick with three straight triumphs. Black Snaker came from last to first for owner Travis Fowler, giving the pacer his third win from his last four in 2:04.1. Bartonstreetballet continued his consistency and Barrieau sent the Pacific Rocket four-year-old to the top and never looked back for a 2:01.2 win. Tricky Wind also turned a front end mission to a win in 2:02.3 for owner Doug Beckwith.

Barrieau completed the four-bagger in the finale as the mare Comical Brilla put away her rivals in 2:00.3 for the quickest trip of the day. Robert Tilley and Les Mott share ownership.

Steve Mahar guided a pair of winners as Landfair Anna got up in the final strides to win for owners Fred Farrell and Charlie Bowlin in 2:03.4 while Stena Ray No enjoyed some class relief and delivered in 2:04.1.

Eli Is Comin, a three-year-old son of Matter Of Money, matched his life’s mark of 2:03.2 for owner’s TMT Stable and driver Robert Craft.

Goddess Sahbra continued her hot streak, winning her third in a row for owner Andrew Ward and driver Mike Stevenson. Time of the mile was 2:03.1.

Power Flex, owned by Kelly Watts and driven by Lonny Stokes, muscled his way to a 2:04.4 triumph for his third of the season.

The next card of racing at the Saint John track will be on Saturday, November 19. Post time will be at 1:00 p.m.
