Monticello, NY — Karm Master N, who hasn’t lost a race since mid-April, will be seeking his eighth consecutive victory at Monticello Raceway when he takes on a field of seven in the 11th race on Wednesday afternoon, July 20.
Ryan Macedonio, who has piloted the 11-year-old gelding to his consecutive victories at the Mighty M, will again be on the driver’s seat for owner- trainer Tony Cuccio.
Actually, Karm Master N has already won eight races in a row, having been victorious at Goshen Historic Track on July 2 in an amateur contest with Gerry Fielding at the controls. But of course, that doesn’t count in his quest of eight in a row at The Mighty M.
The pacer’s fastest victory this year was a 2:00.4 clocking on June 22 and he now has 10 wins in just 13 seasonal starts.
Karm Master N is an altered son of the New Zealand stallion Dancing Master, with a lifetime record of 1:53.3 and has bankrolled over $135,600 in his career. His fastest win time in 2005 was a 2:00.4 clocking on June 22.
He is chasing the track record of nine consecutive victories, set by the pacer Don Torpid and driver Walter Case, during the 1983 campaign.
