Yonkers, NY — Armbro Barrister, who took the gavel to the gang in last week’s Open Handicap Trot, is legally obligated to leave from the outside location (no change of venue here) during this Saturday night’s festivities at Yonkers Raceway.

Post time for the 10 race card is 7:40 p.m., with the trio of $15,000 Open Handicaps going as races five (Filly and Mare Pace), six (Pace) and nine (Trot).

Armbro Barrister (Ray Schnittker, post seven) laid down the law early a week ago, strolling to the half before winning the sprint home. The four-year-old son of Malabar Man, co-owned by Schnittker along Messrs. Scheeler, Adkins and Kelks Inc. and trained by Paul Doherty, handily won a Pocono Open before hitting town.

Fifty-Two Finn (Stephane Bouchard, post six) lasted on the lead versus the Preferred ‘Cap crowd a week ago, his third victory in the past four tries. The five-year-old statebred son of Movie Mogul, trained by Harold Purdy for co-owners Joel Kravet and Adele Prince, won the first local Open Handicap event of the month.

Marcarius (Jay Randall, post four) owns Open Handicap upsets (at 10-1 and 16-1) and has hit the board in his last five efforts, while Sundance Kid G (Jim Meittinis, post five) was a dull sixth in last week’s trotting featureā€¦the first time he wasn’t favored in his last six local tries.

Great Thunder (Rejean Daigneault, post one), Personal Finance (Driver TBA, post two) and Celebrity Liza (Driver TBA, post three) complete the lineup. “Liza” snapped a season-long 0-fer with a win across the river 10 nights ago.

The weekly distaff derby finds Park ‘Em Out Missy (Rick Farrington, post eight), left at the altar last week, leaving outside her seven sorority sisters. The four-year-old daughter of Park Place, owned by Durazzano Stable Associates and trained by Yves Corbin, has three seconds and two fourths in her five local efforts.

Ex Libris Hanover (Driver TBA, post four) grinded her way into third in last week’s femme feature, her fourth board finish in the last five appearances. The five-year-old Life Sign lass is trained by Karen Garland for owner Joel Wheeler.

Casino Miss (Bouchard, post seven) wound up fourth in last week’s ladies’ luncheon, while Mariana’s Trench (Jim Marohn, post three) earned the final payday in the same event.

Petey’s Tweety (Eric Abbatiello, post one), Stylish Sakra (Driver TBA, post two), Get Over Lil (Jay Randall, post five) and Zintillating (Marcus Johansson, post six) round out the roster.

Saturday night’s Open ‘Cap Pace finds Sempre Pronto (Johansson, post six) eyeing a third consecutive victory. The six-year-old son of Northern Luck, owned by Joe Petrera and trained by Eldo Leonelli, enjoyed a pylon-skimming trip from catch-driver Jim Meittinis a week ago for his fourth ’05 victory.

Matts Waller (Randall, post four) rallied for second (to Sempre Pronto) a week ago after upsetting (at 17-1) the winners over crowd in his previous effort. The six-year-old son of Matt’s Scooter, co-owned by Alvin Jacobson and Sidney Korn and trained by Corbin, has hit the board in six of his nine seasonal starts.

Am I Next A (Driver TBA, post one) was outrun a week ago after finishing second and third in his previous two Open ‘Cap work nights, while Radar Sign (Bouchard, post two) was third in last week’s Open Handicap event.

Expensive Flight (Meittinis, post three) wired the winners over crowd last week, while Tiberon (Mark Beckwith, post five) crosses the river for his first local visit since early April.
