Macho Mike a repeat winner in Adios Harry series

HARRINGTON, Del. – Four divisions of the second leg of the Adios Harry series were contested on Wednesday at Harrington Raceway with Phil Goldwater and James Faragher’s Macho Mike being the only repeat winner in 1:56.2.
Driven by Brad Hanners, the 4-year-old Magical Mike gelding set all the fractions in his triumph for his fourth straight win over Armbro Compass and Victor Vuitton N. Gloria Myers’ Pinehaven Lucky (Bobby Myers, 1:56.1), Russell Mackinnon’s Doug’s Boy (Wayne Truitt, 1:56.3) and Marcia Murray’s JD’s Dragon (Truitt, 1:56.1) each won their division respectively.
In the $18,500 Preferred Trot, David Slyman’s CR Pants on Fire (Victor Kirby) earned his third straight win, and overcame post eight in a 1:57.4 victory. Kirby surged three-wide with the 7-year-old Royal Troubador gelding to pass the tiring leaders to get up at the wire for. Love You Most was second, while Rattlesnake Jake finished third. “Fire” is trained by Josh Green.
