Two $63,000 Matron Stake eliminations for two-year-old fillies, one for pacers and the other featuring trotters, kickoff the track’s 36th season on Saturday, November 6.

On Saturday, Solveig, owned by John Fielding and Christina Takter, a leading candidate for frosh filly trotter of the year, heads a Matron elimination with a purse of $63,150 in the first race.

A 10 colt field of freshman trotters vie in a $54,850 Matron elimination, also on Sunday. Two of the starters paid $20,000 supplemental fees, Adam Victor and Son’s Med Vac, a son of CR Commando and winner of last week’s $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund Final, and Pennsylvania Sires Stakes king Green Dot, owned by Have A Dream Stable.

Maid To Command, owned by Diana Harrison, is a second CR Commando in the bulky event.
