Museum Gift Shop Looks For Recycling Help

Harness Racing Communications, a division of the USTA

The Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame Gift Shop would like the help of racing fans attending Grand Circuit races (July 2, 3, 4 and 5) at adjacent Goshen (NY) Historic Track.

The gift shop, which also offers a mail order catalog, uses about 80% recycled materials to package items shipped from the shop. Local businesses and residents have given the gift shop used packing materials, but more are always welcome. They need small and medium sized cardboard boxes, as well as bubble wrap and styrofoam “peanuts.” The recycled materials are a cost savings for the museum and their customers and also extends the life of materials that would otherwise be disposed of. Those visiting the races (1 pm on July 2, 3 4 and 5) or museum can drop off the materials with Betty Ann Sosinski, gift shop manager. Admission to the museum is free over the July 4 long weekend.
