Columbus, OH — At the Blooded Horse Summer Mixed Sale Tuesday (Aug. 28) and Wednesday (Aug. 29) in Springfield, Ohio, U.S. Trotting Association staff is in attendance to assist with the sales office with the USTA’s new eSales product.

USTA Assistant Registrar, Aimee Hock assists thesales office with the new USTA product, eSales. The web based applicationprovides sellers the ability to electronically sign as seller, as well asprovides the sales company a simplified process to release the registration tothe purchaser.

The web-based application provides sellers with the ability to electronically sign as seller and provides the sales company with a simplified process to release the registration to the purchaser by allowing them to authorize a transfer of a horse without the need of a hard-copy registration when the horse has a paperless registration.

“By helping sales companies conduct their business, we are also streamlining processes for our members,” said Assistant Registrar Aimee Hock in her introduction of the new eSales program at the USTA’s annual meeting in last March. “Moving into the digital age of electronically authorizing transfers of ownership is an exciting step forward as we work to improve our Online Services capabilities for our members.”

To utilize the program, users should log-in to their USTA MyAccount and go to the “Work in Progress at the USTA” box and click “Seller Signatures.” The horses that have been consigned will be listed and can be electronically signed off by selecting “Release.” On that same screen, next to the horse’s name, is an indicator as to whether the horse has hard copy registration papers or if the papers are held electronically at the USTA.
