HHA of CNY scholarship winners announced

from the Harness Horse Association of Central New York

Vernon, NY — The Harness Horse Association of Central New York is proud to announce the 2018-2019 Joseph P. Camerino Memorial Scholarship winners.

Ronald ”Ronnie” Huff, 18, of Coconut Creek, Fla., is the recipient of a total of $1,500. Ronnie is the son of Jake and Rosalia Huff. He is a 2018 graduate of Monarch High School and will be attending Webber International University majoring in Criminal Justice.

McKenna Gardener, of Victor, N.Y., is a 2016 graduate of Victor Senior High School and has completed two years at the University of Rochester. McKenna will enter Nazareth College to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nurse Anesthetist. She will receive a total of $2,500 and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Daley.

Jessica Hallett, 19, of Margate, Fla., will receive the $5,000 scholarship. Jessica, daughter of John and Michelle Hallett, is a 2017 graduate of Deerfield Beach High School and is starting her sophomore year at Nova Southern University with a double major in Biology and Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Forensic Studies.

Scholarships are awarded on a basis of merit, financial need and community service. The Scholarship Committee would like to thank and wish a continued success to our winners and all who applied this year.
