Osprey Impact won the Friday feature in a time of 1:55.4.

Osprey Impact (Mike Stevenson) flew from post six and took the lead before the group hit the turn. But Jericho (Eddie Davis Jr.), who was floated out fourth, came with a rush at the quarter and claimed the top past that station. From there positions remained unchanged to the half.

Heading into the second half of the race, Just Make Believe (Jim Hardy) came first up and brought Pirate (Ivan Davies) with him as well. The top four were two in and two out for the next three-eighths until Pirate tipped three-deep around a fading Just Make Believe, which also provided room for the pocket-sitting Osprey Impact to get out.

By the top of the lane Pirate had gotten the lead, but Osprey Impact was gaining momentum after splitting horses mid-stretch and he powered to the front for good and won in 1:55.4.

Osprey Impact ($8.60) registered his fourth win of the year for owner Paul Larrabee and trainer Robert Marston.

The fastest trot of the day occurred in the $10,000 6-year-old and under non-winners event where Kinda Lucky Lindy (Patrizio Ancora) looked past being a gapped-third at the half and pulled first-over up the backside to eventually clear in the lane and win by three lengths in 1:55.2.

Kinda Lucky Lindy ($2.80) racked up his third win of 2018 for the Lindy Farms of Connecticut and trainer Domenico Cecere.

Driver Mike Stevenson and trainer Robert Marston teamed up to send three horses to the winner’s enclosure on Friday and in the process, led all their respective peers for wins on the afternoon.

Live racing resumes at Plainridge Park on Monday afternoon (Aug. 6) with post time set for 4 p.m.
