After on Saturday becoming the first driver in history to win at least 1,000 races in multiple years, Merriman on Tuesday set the record for most victories in a single month.

Merriman won eight times on Tuesday, twice at The Meadows and six times at Northfield, to push his total in November to 123.

Tim Tetrick held the previous record for wins in a month, with 121 in November 2007. Tetrick finished 2007 with a record 1,189 victories.

Merriman entered Wednesday with 1,020 wins. He won 1,095 races in 2017, the second highest total in history.
