ROC The Standardbred at Equifest 2019

Marion, NY — ROC the Standardbred, a soon to be 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a group of volunteers that work to promote awareness of the Standardbred breed and expand a market for their use in the horse pleasure world. This group will be at WNY Equifest in Hamburg, N.Y., on March 23 and 24.

Events planned include a presence on the Breed Avenue and in the Breed Parade, a demonstration of racing harness, a session about what to expect when adopting the breed, as well as numerous raffle prizes and a chance to talk with several Breed Ambassadors and Board Members. More information about the event can be found at this link.

“This will be our third year attending this event,” said Alyssa Hedges, president of ROC the Standardbred. “We did not come last year but are thrilled to come back bigger and better than ever this year. It’ll be even more special because we’ll be bringing two horses who raced at Buffalo Raceway, Dancin Thea and Rush Rules. It’s an opportunity for them to come full circle as representatives of the breed. We’re proud to be sharing our booth space with Sunshine Horses.”

ROC the Standardbred can also be found throughout the year at events local to Breed Ambassadors as they display the talents of their Standardbreds under saddle.
