Chicago, IL — John Gay has joined the executive staff of the Illinois Racing Board as General Counsel.

“We’re very pleased to have John join our executive team,” said Domenic DiCera, Executive Director. “We look forward to making full use of his knowledge and skills in representing the Board.”

Prior to joining the Board, Gay was the Chief Legal Counsel at the Illinois Office of the Comptroller. Previously, he was Chief Counsel and Director of Policy in Chicago’s Office of the City Clerk.

He received his bachelor’s degree from DePaul University and his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law. He has been a member of the Illinois bar since November 2009.
