HHA of CNY scholarship winners announced

Vernon, NY — The Harness Horse Association of Central New York is proud to announce the winners of the Joseph P. Camerino Memorial Scholarship for 2019-2020.

The $5,000 scholarship has been awarded to Skylar Watts, daughter of Misty Carey of Verona, N.Y. Skylar is entering her sophomore year at Hartwick College, Oneonta, N.Y., majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She is a student/athlete participating in tennis, rifle club and coaching youth softball.

Ronald Huff, son of Jake and Rosalia Huff of Coconut Creek, Fla., will receive $2,500. Ronnie is entering his sophomore year at Webber International University, Babson, Fla., majoring in Criminal Justice. He is a member of the Webber Warrior Bowling Team.

Ryan Huff, also the son of Jake and Rosalia Huff, will receive $1,500. Ryan is entering his freshman year at Webber International University, Babson, Fla., majoring in Business Management.

Scholarships are based on financial need, essay, community service and grades.

A total of $9,000 was available to three students whose parents/guardians are members of this Association.
