Impressive performance by Aetos Kronos

Örebro, Sweden — The 3-year old Swedish colt, Aetos Kronos driven by Johan Untersteiner was a very impressive winner of an E3-final at Ôrebro Saturday (Aug. 18) afternoon.

On a sloppy track, he was parked outside leader Global Adventure driven by Erik Adielsson most of the trip, Aetos Kronos (sired by Bold Eagle) won easily by 1-1/2 lengths in 1.54 – equaling the Swedish record held by Standout for 3-year-old colts over the mile distance.

“This is best 3-year-old I ever have been behind,” said Johan Untersteiner after the race.

The purse for the winner was $100,000 and Aetos Kronos – part-owned by the Snyder Family and trained by Jerry Riordan has now earned of $370,000.

The filly division was won by Mascate Match (sired by Muscle Mass) with trainer/driver Pekka Korpi in the bike in 1.56.2.

This was her ninth victory from 10 starts and she has now earnings of $270,000.
