Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway to host Buckeye Stallion Series finals

Grove City, OH — Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway will host an exciting afternoon of racing on Sunday (Sept. 29) starting at 2:15 p.m. After racing four legs throughout the summer to earn points to participate, horses in the Buckeye Stallion Series will compete in the finals, occupying eight races on Sunday’s card.

The 2-year-old filly trot final will be in race two. Dream Change (Winning Fireworks-Economic Change) has five wins this year, including two divisions of the BSS, leg one at Northfield Park on July 1 and leg four at the Delaware County Fair on Sept. 18. She is just shy of $50,000 in earnings. Susie D (Uncle Peter-Minor Skirmish) does not have a series win, though she came in second to Dream Change at Delaware. She does have nine Ohio Fair Stakes wins. Pete’s Sake (Uncle Peter-Rose Run Keepsake) won leg four of the BSS at the Delaware County Fair and had four Ohio Fair Stakes wins.

In race three the 2-year-old filly pacers will compete. Escape The House (Big Bad John-Chicascape) has seven wins this season, three BSS and four Ohio Fairs Stakes. She won July 9 at Scioto Downs in leg one, leg two at Northfield Park on July 17 and leg four at the Delaware County Fair Sept. 19. She is just shy of $50,000 in earnings. T Degengold (Pet Rock-Goldies Cam) has nine wins this season, including leg one of the BSS July 9 at Scioto Downs and eight Ohio Fair Stakes races. PJ’s Legacy (Big Bad John-Walstan’s Lady) has more than $112,000 in earnings. She won leg one of the BSS July 9 at Scioto Downs and leg two at Northfield Park.

The 2-year-old colt trotters are in race five. Herecomescharlie B (Full Count-Jetterbug) won the first two legs of the BSS on July 2 at Scioto Downs and July 10 at Northfield Park, as well as two Ohio Fair Stakes races. Bold Strategy (Break The Bank K-CC Cupcake) won the second BSS leg at Northfield on July 10 and the third leg at the Champaign County Fair on Aug. 6. Timestorm (Stormin Normand-Tymal Sonata) has 12 wins. He won the first three legs of the BSS and nine Ohio Fair Stakes.

Race six is the 2-year-old colt pace. Johnny Rockette (Big Bad John-O Narutac Rockette) won leg two of the BSS on July 16 at Scioto Downs and has four Ohio Fair Stakes wins. Dig Danny Dig (McArdle-Miss Madi M) has eight wins from 14 starts, including the third leg at the Champaign County Fair on Aug. 6 and seven Ohio Fair Stakes wins. Bargain Shopper (Big Bad John-One Stop Shopping) won leg one at Northfield on July 6, leg four at the Delaware County Fair on Sept. 19 and three Ohio Fair Stakes races.

The 3-year-old filly trotters will compete in race eight. Victoryisalluneed (Lionhunter-Guilt Free) has seven wins this season, including BSS leg four at the Delaware County Fair on Sept. 15 and four Kentucky Fair Stakes. Heidi’s Heart (Uncle Peter-Luvyaformiles) won leg one of the BSS on June 6 at Scioto Downs. Twentyfour K Magic (Dontyouforgetit-Magic Memory) won leg one at Miami Valley May 1 and leg two at Scioto Downs June 7. She also won in the Iron Maiden Series at Northfield on April 17 and May 15. She is just shy of $100,000 in earnings.

The 3-year-old filly pacers are in race nine. This field is a group with many wins and higher earnings this year. Gypsy Merlot (Feelin Friskie-Bronwen Seelster) won leg two of the BSS on June 15 at Northfield, leg three at Scioto Downs on July 18 and had 10 wins total in 2019. Heythere Lisamarie (Pet Rock-Sunshine State) has 17 wins, including leg one May 1 at Miami Valley, leg two at Northfield Park, leg four at the Delaware County Fair and nine Ohio Fair Stakes. She also has wins in the Wallflower Series and Iron Maiden Series, both at Northfield Park. She is just shy of $100,000 in 2019 earnings. Bad Sammie (Big Bad John-Wal Marty) won BSS leg three on July 18 at Scioto Downs and leg four at Delaware. She also won the Ohio Sires Stakes Consolation on Sept. 7 at Scioto Downs. Twinsburg (McArdle-Fastidious Hanover) won BSS leg four Sept. 16 and the Ohio Breeders Championship Sept. 19, both at the Delaware County Fair. She has earned almost $107,000 this year.

Race 11 is the 3-year-old colt trot. Homer Hall (Broadway Hall-Cynthia Iliad) won BSS leg one on May 4 at Miami Valley and leg two June 21 at Scioto Downs. He also won the Ohio Breeders Championship Sept. 18 at Delaware, the Ohio Sires Stakes Consolation at Scioto Downs on Sept. 7 and has six Ohio Fair Stakes wins. His 2019 earnings are $151,138. Morally Flexible (Break The Bank K-Toot Sweet) won BSS leg two at Scioto Downs on June 21 and leg three at Northfield Park on July 20. He also won the Governor’s Cup, Ohio State Fair Race, on Aug. 3 at Scioto Downs. Workinitonbroadway (Broadway Hall-Working Girl) won BSS leg two at Scioto Downs on June 21 and leg three on July 20 at Northfield Park.

The final Buckeye Stallion Series race is race 12, the 3-year-old colt pace. B Like Cruiser (Yankee Cruiser-B Moblie) won BSS leg one May 4 at Miami Valley, leg three on July 22 at Northfield Park and the Ohio Sires Stakes Consolation on Sept. 7 at Scioto Downs. Dashing To Da Wire (Charley Barley-Flower Pot) won leg two of the BSS on June 28 at Scioto Downs and leg three on July 22 at Northfield Park and four Ohio Fair Stakes races this summer. Dl’s Big Elvis (Mister Big-Up Front Darlin) won BSS leg four on Sept. 16 at Delaware.
