Kristin Kolaczkowski is congratulated by Eldorado Scioto Downs Mutuel Director Steve Carpenito.

Eighty-six contestants lined up behind the gate in the 10-race handicapping contest held in The Penthouse at The Downs and it turned out to be a blanket finish, with the top three contestants separated by one dollar.

In the contest, a bankroll was accumulated by a mythical $2 win and place wager on each contestant’s choice in each race. The player with the largest bankroll at the end of the 10 contest races will get the trip and that player was Kristin Kolaczkowski of Columbus, Ohio.

Kristin, who ended the contest with a top bankroll of $77.80, made the winning move in the penultimate race of the contest, a conditioned event for pacing mares from Northfield Park, when her faith in Pinkpolosocks (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) was rewarded with a $27.80 win mutuel, plus another $10 to place.

Kristin was thrilled at the conclusion of the contest and excited for her first trip to The Meadowlands.

Everyone at Eldorado Scioto Downs wishes her the best as she heads to Jersey for the $50,000 BetAmerica World Harness Handicapping Championship at The Meadowlands.
