A Rocknroll Dance banked $863,325 in earnings as a freshman.

With $863,325 in career earnings, A Rocknroll Dance will make his first start of his long 3-year-old season in the 11th qualifier with post seven in a seven-horse field. Trainer Jim Mulinix, who co-owns the colt with Denny Miller, Jerry Silva and Theresa Gentry Silva, has designated three-time Hoosier Park leading driver Peter Wrenn to steer.

With 11 starts last year, A Rocknroll Dance finished in the top three 10 times with seven wins and three seconds. In only his third pari-mutuel start, A Rocknroll Dance produced a world record equaling mile when he won his Metro Pace elimination in a career-best 1:49.1.

He co-holds the track record for 2-year-old pacing colts at Indiana Downs with Ron Burke’s Sweet Lou, after he won a $106,900 division of the Elevation Stake in 1:51.3 with Yannick Gingras in the bike.

His resume also boosts wins in the $510,000 Governor’s Cup at Harrah’s Chester and the International Stallion Stakes and Bluegrass Stakes at The Red Mile.

The son of Rocknroll Hanover is no stranger to Hoosier Park’s oval as he made his second career start here in a qualifier on July 1, 2011, when he finished third in 2:00.3 with Mulinix in the bike.

A Rocknroll Dance is ranked number one in the Hoof Beats/Trackmaster ratings for 2012 and for the 67th edition of the Little Brown Jug.
