Abnormal foal reporting packet now online

Columbus, OH — The USTA is participating in a genetic study, “Genetic Investigation of Traits of Economic Importance in Horses,” with the University of California Davis. Breeders and owners are asked to submit DNA samples for testing of still born foals or those with apparent abnormalities.

The reporting packet, including the “Horse Information” sheet that must be sent with the DNA sample, are now available on the USTA’s Forms/Applications webpage in the “Breeding and Registration” section. Information is also available at the bottom of the Foal Registration webpage.

Questions about participating in the study can be directed to Gabby Fleming at 877.800.8782, ext. 3231 or gabby.fleming@ustrotting.com.
