Washington, PA — The Meadows Racetrack & Casino wishes to remind horsemen that the box for the $650,000 (est.) Delvin Miller Adios will close at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19. For all other races drawn that day, the box will close at 9 a.m.

Eliminations for the Adios, each carrying a purse of $50,000, are set for Saturday, July 23. The final of the “Pace for the Orchids,” the highlight of Grand Circuit action at The Meadows, takes place Saturday, July 30, when a $50,000 Adios Consolation also will be featured.

As part of Adios Week excitement, The Meadows and the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association are offering four Open events, each with a purse of $50,000. The Open Trot and Filly & Mare Open Trot are set for Friday, July 29, while the Open Pace and Filly & Mare Open Pace will go Saturday as part of the rich Adios final card, which will feature more than $1 million in purses.

The order of preference for the Opens is: 1) Pennsylvania-sired horses; 2) Pennsylvania-owned horses; 3) Open horses. To enter or for more information, contact The Meadows Race Office at 724.225.9897.
