Adjustment to Woodbine qualifiers

Toronto, ON — The Woodbine Entertainment Group has announced that it has made an adjustment to this week’s qualifying session.

Due to the high demand of qualifiers this week, Woodbine Racetrack will host qualifying sessions on both Friday and Saturday, beginning at 4 p.m.

Five qualifiers on the pace will take place on Friday, while a quartet of qualifiers on the trot will be featured on Saturday.

Hudon a guest host this Saturday on Woodbine Racing Live

Phil Hudon, who has banked C$45 million in his career as a driver, will be the guest on Woodbine Racing Live’s pre-game show this Saturday (March 22), beginning at 6:45 p.m.

The 39-year-old has been a mainstay on the WEG circuit for the past decade with 3,785 career wins to his credit.

Hudon’s biggest thrill came in 2010 when he teamed up with Big Jim to capture the Breeders Crown 2-year-old Colt Pace in 1:50.1, which was one-fifth of a second off the world record time for 2-year-old colts on a five-eighths-mile track.

One month later, Hudon and Big Jim went on to lower the world record for 2-year-old pacing colts by taking the Governor’s Cup at Woodbine in an impressive 1:49.1.

The Guelph resident has eight starters on Saturday’s 11-race program.

Hudon joins WEG’s Greg Gangle and will offer his thoughts on his starters and much more. First race post time is slated for 7:25 p.m.
