Åke Svanstedt buys Scandinavian Muscle Hill filly

At a mixed sale in Sweden, Ake Svanstedt bought the Muscle Hill filly Queen Tile for 550,000 SEK — or $56,000.

This was the top price for a trotter at the sale.

Queen Tile, who is Norwegian registered, is out of Moonbeam Hanover, a Cantab Hall mare who Svanstedt campaigned in Sweden before he moved to the United States. Moonbeam Hanover won seven races, $83,600 and was timed in 1:57.2f. Her first foal, Luxury Tile (by Muscle Hill), now 4, has earnings of $78,000 and is timed in 1:54.2f.

At the sale a stallion share in the French trotting sensation, the 4-year-old Face Time Bourbon, was sold to a Finnish buyer for 1 million SEK — or $102,000.
