Åke Svanstedt to drive in Elitlopp

Stockholm, Sweden — Though Åke Svanstedt had to forfeit the invitation to race Back Of The Neck in the Elitlopp at Solvalla next Sunday (May 29), he has been asked to drive popular Swedish trotter Who’s Who.

Fifteen of the 16 trotters who will compete in the race have now been invited, and two of them were born and raised in the United States: Snowstorm Hanover and Click Bait. Snowstorm Hanover, sired by Muscle Mass, was bred by Hanover Shoe Farms; and Click Bait, sired by Cantab Hall, by Russell Williams.

Click Bait secured his spot in the big race by winning at Gävle on Saturday afternoon (May 21) in 1.53.2.

The missing 16th horse, billed as “the people’s trotter,” will be determined by fans casting votes at folketshast.se.

The draw for the two eliminations will take place Sunday afternoon (May 22) on national television.

Here are the 15 trotters whose connections have accepted invitations for the Elitlopp:
