Al Capone Jet tops Prix d’Amerique sale at $424,000

Al Capone Jet, a 4-year-old gelding sired by Jag de Bellouet, was the sales topper at the Prix d’Amerique sale held at Vincennes on Friday evening (Jan. 24).

Al Capone Jet was sold with a final bid of 310,000 Euro — or $424,000.

Al Capone Jet recently won a Group 2 race at Vincennes carrying a purse for the winner of $75,000.

Four horses were sold for 100,000 Euros ($137,500). The average price at the sale was $27,500, the third highest in the last ten years.
