Aldrich wins four at Monticello

Monticello, NY – Bruce Aldrich Jr. padded his lead atop the driving colony at Monticello Raceway with four wins on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 12).

Aldrich won the third race with Adam Friedland’s Awesum Ace in 1:59.1 before delivering a five-length win in the sixth with Gary Messenger trainee Hestons Lucky Chip in a seasonal best 1:57. Bullville Terror earned a 1:57.3 lifetime mark for trainer Steven Crevani and gave Aldrich his third win of the day, and Dan Gill’s Averys Hailstorm rounded out Aldrich’s grand slam with a 2:00.4 win in the last race.

Aldrich has driven home 96 winners thus far in the abbreviated racing season. Jim Taggart Jr. is second with 81 wins and Brandon Parker is third with 67.

Also on the card, Brandon Parker and McGwire Sowers each also won two races, as did trainer Dan Gill.
