Alesha Binkley wins GLADA trot with Wittyville at Scioto Downs

Columbus, OH – Seven stalwart trotters went to post Friday (July 23) in a Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association Trot at Scioto Downs and when the judges posted the official sign Alesha Binkley emerged victorious after she reined Wittyville to a gate-to-wire 1:57.4 triumph.

Despite starting from the six-hole Binkley sent the son of Manofmanymissions to the lead when the gate sprung and she led her competition by that standard in :29.1. With Roundtown Rocker (Peter Stratton) being parked the talented lady driver took her charge by the half in :59.2.

After Wittyville put Stratton’s trotter away Ms. Binkley braced for challenges from Backdoor Man (Floyd Rhodes) and Just Joe (Naquel Harvey). However Wittyville was up to the challenges and the veteran trotter proved too hard to overcome and he drew of to a two-length lead which he carried all the way to the wire.

Backdoor Man finished second and Quick N Balanced picked-up the show dough for Lonnie Graber.

Wittyville is owned by Burke Racing LLC, Knox Services and Weaver-Bruscemi and trained by Ron Burke. Sent off as the co-favorite in the race Wittyville paid $5.00 for win
