All Day Sunshine sharp first-over, wins Meadows feature

Washington, PA — All Day Sunshine got the jump on 2-5 favorite Crisp Mane down the backside and easily defeated her in Wednesday’s (July 27) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $10,000 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

All Day Sunshine was third down the backside, Crisp Mane fourth, when Mike Wilder sent All Day Sunshine first over for the lead. Crisp Mane followed that cover, but the 5-year-old daughter of Sunshine Beach-Mustang Kensley found another gear in the lane and defeated Crisp Many by 4-1/4 lengths in 1:51.4, just a tick off her lifetime mark. Diamond Official finished third.

Paul Corey trains All Day Sunshine, who lifted her career bankroll to $280,738, for Kenneth Ashba.

Jeremy Indof, Hunter Myers, Ridge Warren and Wilder each collected two wins on the 11-race card. With his haul, Myers passed $10 million in career purses. Myers, 24, splits his driving time between The Meadows and Ohio tracks.

Thursday’s (July 28) card at The Meadows features a $5,000 total-pool guarantee, offered in association with the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Initiative, on the Early Pick-4 (race 2). The program also includes a $1,238,17 carryover in the Jackpot Pick-5 (race 4) and a $749.21 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. First post is 12:45 p.m.
