Amateur driver safety seminar set for April 17

Goshen, NY — An amateur driver safety seminar will be held at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 17, commencing at 12:00 noon.

Speakers include prominent Yonkers drivers Jason Bartlett and Jordan Stratton; longtime amateur driver and president of the SOA of New York, Joe Faraldo; Yonkers judge, Cami Haughton; and Yonkers starter, Andy Toscano. Also addressing the group will be Hambletonian winner Ray Schnittker and T.C. Lane, the USTA’s county fair liaison and director of officials.

Topics will cover every facet of driving from the breathalyzer to the winner’s circle and everything in between. In addition to the formal presentations, there will be a panel discussion, questions and answers, as well as films provided by the USTA. The entire program will be videotaped for future use both by the USTA and the Delvin Miller Harness Drivers Association.

Registration and lunch is from 12–2 p.m. and the formal program runs from 2–6 p.m. Dinner is optional.
