Amateur drivers’ safety program scheduled

from the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Goshen, NY — The harness racing industry comes together to promote safety in amateur racing.

The Delvin Miller Harness Drivers Association in conjunction with the United States Trotting Association and the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame will be hosting a seminar on April 17th at the Museum in Goshen, NY.

Speakers include – Hambletonian Stake winner Ray Schnittker, Thurman Munson Award Winner, Jason Bartlett, USHWA Rising Star Award Winner, Jordan Stratton, two-time Billings’ winner Joe Faraldo, NYS Racing & Wagering Board Judge Cami Haughton, Yonkers Raceway starter Andy Toscano and from the USTA, T.C. Lane County Fair Liaison and Director of Officials.

Topics will cover every facet of driving from the breathalyzer to the winner’s circle and everything in between. In addition to the formal presentations, there will be a panel discussion, Q&A as well as films provided by the USTA. The entire program will be video taped for future use both by the USTA, and the Delvin Miller Harness Drivers Association.

Registration and lunch is from 12-2 p.m. and the formal program runs from 2-6 p.m. Dinner is optional. The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame is located at 240 Main Street in Goshen, New York and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last tour 4:00 p.m.) Thanks to US Trotting Association support the Museum is currently offering free admission for walk-in visitors and $4.00/person for group docent-guided tours.
