Andy Miller drove in a pair of races at Solvalla.

With 76-1 longshot Active Route, trained by Hambletonian winner Stefan Melander, Miller got a race at the rail in the middle of the field and found racing room down the stretch to finish third. Active Route paid $17.80 to show.

Behind Harmony Tilly, who was a better choice at 6-1, Miller again was close to the rail in the middle of the field, but couldn’t find any racing room down the stretch. Harmony Tilly went past the post as number six and with lots of power still inside.

“It was great to be driving here,” Miller said, “but where I come from there normally will be racing room down the stretch. I was boxed in with Harmony Tilly and I believe we could have won, if we had got a chance to get out.

“The track here is very good and it was good for me to try the Scandinavian way of racing. Hopefully I’ll enter the winner’s circle on Sunday with Lucky Jim; the horse has settled really good over here.”
