Anita L. Cisco, 75, dies

Columbus, OH — Anita L. Cisco, 75, of Celina, Ohio, died April 21, 2017, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1941, in Lima to the late William and Alma (Brodbeck) Cisco.

She is survived by her companion of 50 years, Arnold Fast; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers.

Ms. Cisco was a 1959 graduate of Celina Senior High School. She retired in 2008 from Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina after 45 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys.

She and Arnold bred, raised and raced Standardbreds for 40 years. They raced in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. She was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association and the Scioto Downs Sulky Sweeties. She was also a past member of the Mercer County Harness Horsemen’s Association.

She was an avid genealogist and was a member of the Mercer County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, First Families of Ohio, First Families of Mercer County, Hamilton County, Butler County and Fayette County.

She enjoyed exhibiting flowers and vegetables at the Mercer County Fair, playing cards and was always sending birthday, anniversary and sympathy cards to relatives and friends. She was a very special friend to many Amish families.
